So we have started doing holidays over Christmas. John gets a full two weeks off work and we may as well make the most of this. So last year we went South and this year we decided to go North. As far as Noosa. It is a 12 hour drive from Sydney but we aren’t doing that in one hit. Who could. So we did many stops. We drove up to Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay, Gold Coast, Maroochydore, Noosa, back to Byron, Crescent Head and home. We saw many stunning beaches, a few koala’s in the wild, a pod of dophins, we hired a boat, did aqua parks, rock pools, waterfalls, a zoo, ate out most nights, slept well, walked loads and swam in warm waters. 16 nights of fun. It really was the best.
I loved Byron and all the areas around it, fell in love with the Sunshine Coast (anywhere around Noosa) and we have come back home making a plan to move to Noosa. Giving ourselves a year to do it. All we need is for john to find work and we are there! Not as easy as it seems…but where there is a will there is a way. One thing John and I are very good at is making things happen. We aren’t talkers we are doers.
Any way, I thought I would blog my holiday so you can see how amazing this country is. It never fails to blow my mind. Australia you really do have it all. Even snow…which the kids haven’t been to yet. But maybe this winter we could.
Here is the collection from the trip, a few iPhone images and a couple from the Gopro, all shot with my Canon 5d mark iii and I never took my 35mm lens off (which for me is big deal as I used to be all about the 50mm 1.2) and all the images (apart from iPhone) edited in Lightroom on my little Macbook. So they aren’t perfect. But they tell the story of us!
The next few were taken by Oscar & Daisy. Now in training to be my assistants!
